Palos Heights, IL – The Indiana Tech men’s soccer team struggled to find the net on Saturday as they fell to Trinity Christian College, 3-1. The Warriors had an edge in shots but couldn’t get any past the Trinity Christian keeper until the final minute of the game.
Tech fell behind early, giving up a goal just eight minutes into the game and another ten minutes later. Sam Terman (Mason, MI/Mason HS) came close to cutting the deficit in half but hit the crossbar and the Trolls took the 2-0 lead into the half.
The Warriors picked up their attack early in the second half but Trinity Christian’s goalie, Andrew Boersma, denied every shot. The Trolls put the game away with a goal in the 63rd minute. Elliott Everson (Horsmonden, England, UK/Hayesbrook) added a late goal to make it 3-1.
Indiana Tech will host Illinois Tech on Thursday, September 23 at 7 p.m. and then the Warriors begin conference play on October 2 against Concordia University.
