Livonia, MI – The Warriors traveled to Madonna University on Saturday and fell to the Crusaders, 2-1 in overtime. After two first half goals, the teams were scoreless in the second half before Madonna scored on a rebound opportunity five minutes into the extra period.
The Crusaders got the scoring started at the 19:57 mark in the first half. The Warriors answered just before the break when Michael Lewis (Allen Park, MI/Allen Park HS) found the back of the net.
The Warriors finished the game with 15 shots while Madonna had 17. Lewis and Sam Terman (Mason, MI/Mason HS) both had three shots on goal and Elliott Everson (Horsmonden, England/Hayesbrook) had two. Goalkeeper Steve Putek (Lincoln Park, MI/Lincoln Park HS) made seven saves.
Next, Indiana Tech travels to Davenport University to take on the Panthers in conference action on October 13 at 4 p.m.
