Fort Wayne, Ind. – Indiana Tech freshman Will Johnson (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Luers) has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for men’s soccer after helping lead the Warriors to a 3-0 record last week.
Johnson, a Fort Wayne local, tallied his first collegiate goal in a 3-0 victory over Illinois Tech in the Warriors’ home opener on Aug. 29. The Bishop Luers grad also put in the game-winner in Tech’s 1-0 win against Shawnee State University on Sunday at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium.
Johnson’s two goals are tied for the team lead.
The Warriors, now 4-0 on the year, will head to Palos Heights, Illinois next for a matchup with Trinity Christian College on Friday, Sept. 7 before returning home to host Olivet Nazarene University on Sept. 15.
