Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has announced the 2012 men’s tennis postseason awards and Indiana Tech’s Nikolas Jubera Munoz (Logrono, Spain/Marionistos) was selected First Team All-Conference following an outstanding freshman season.
“He always put in that extra bit of effort which helped him improve his game to another level,” said Coach Andrew Hopkins.
Jubera Munoz finished the year with a team-best 13 singles wins, going 13-10 overall. The freshman standout was 3-1 against WHAC foes, playing all of the conference singles matches at the No. 1 position. In doubles competition, he and his partners posted a record of 11-13.
Sophomore Sriram Aranganathan (Chennai, India/Modern Senior) was named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team. Recipients of this award best exhibit the five core values of the NAIA: respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership, and sportsmanship.
Mark Clements (Crawfordsville, IN/North Montgomery) was named to the All-Academic Team for his hard work in the classroom.
