Match Results
Winona Lake, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men’s tennis made it back-to-back victories with a 5-3 win at Grace College on Saturday.
The win improved the Warriors to 5-2 on the year while Grace dropped to 9-4.
The Warriors dominated singles competition winning four out of the five matches played, with the sixth match being unfinished. Newcomer Joaquin Ferrando (Mar de Plata-Buenos Aires, Argentina) continued his hot start with Tech with a dramatic 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 win at the No. 1 position. Fernando Gonzalez (Santiago, Chile), Sriram Aranganathan (Chennai, India), and Nicholas Tripanon (Sao Paulo, Brazil) all earned straight set victories at No. 2 through No. 4.
At No. 1 doubles, the team of Ferrando and Aranganathan picked up Tech’s lone win in doubles competition, defeating Aaron Blevins and Michael Blevins 8-5.
The Warriors are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 16 when they travel to Findlay, Ohio for a match against NCAA DII opponent University of Findlay. The match is set to start at 2 p.m.
