Findlay, Ohio – The Indiana Tech men’s tennis team suffered its first setback of the spring losing 7-2 at NCAA DII University of Findlay on Saturday.
The loss dropped the Warriors to 5-3 on the year while Findlay remained unbeaten, improving to 3-0.
Joaquin Ferrando has been red-hot since joining the Warriors, boosting his singles record to 3-0 following a 7-5, 7-5 victory at the No. 1 position. At No. 2 singles, Fernando Gonzalez also won in straight sets 6-4, 7-5.
Nicholas Tripanon and Clayton Northey were edged out at No. 4 and No. 5 singles in three sets.
The Oilers also swept the doubles competition to claim the 7-2 win.
The Warriors are back on the road at NCAA DI Ball State University on Wednesday, Feb. 20 beginning at 7 p.m.
