Fort Wayne, IN-- The fall tennis season has come to an end for the men’s tennis team, as they traveled to Grace College. With most doubles matches only 4-5 games in, a light rain started and soon made the courts to slick to continue play. The radar showed moderate to heavy rains not far away, so after a 30 minute delay, the match was completely stopped. Due to schedule conflicts for the remainder of the fall season, the match could not be rescheduled.
The men’s player of the week was Jose Brito as he picked-up wins in both his singles and doubles match (w/Paulo Mattos) against Indiana Wesleyan University.
The men’s tennis team had another successful fall season as it finished with a record of 5-1. The success came from the entire team which was comprised of 7 returning players and 4 new players to the roster.
"Everyone made a big difference in all of the matches and will make a big impact in the spring season," said coach Moster. The Warriors are likely to compete for both a conference and regional championship and have high hopes of taking part in the NAIA National Tennis Championships in May.
