Fort Wayne, Ind. – Indiana Tech track and field is proud to announce the signing of Mashea Jones (Portsmith, VA/Churchland HS) to the program.

Mashea is an accomplished jumper for both her high school team and the Five Star track club. She owns career-bests of 18-11 in the long jump, 36-8.5 in the triple jump, and 7.56 in the 55 dash. She was a national qualifier this past summer with her club team.

Coach Edgar on Mashea: "Mashea is going to be a great addition to the program. With three of our best jumpers being seniors next year, Mashea will be able to focus on form early in the season and learn from the veterans on the squad. Mashea has an ability to come and impact us right away in both the jumps and short sprints. We know athletes from her track club are hard workers and expect to see some major improvements immediately. We continue to invest in Virginia athletes and are excited about Mashea's future in our program!"
