FORT WAYNE, IN- The Indiana Tech Track and Field program will participate in two meets this busy weekend. Half the squad will visit Trine University (Angola, IN) on Friday, January 29th for the Trine Invitational and the other half will travel to Indiana University (Bloomington, IN) to take part in the IU Relays (1/29-1/30).
Trine will present an excellent opportunity to use the facilities that will host the WHAC Indoor Championship Meet. And at Indiana University, the Warriors will have a chance to participate in one of the largest indoor meets in the Midwest.
On the national side, the Warriors are represented very well by the freshmen class. Aaron Baker (Howe, IN / Lakeland) is currently fourth in the nation with an A standard throw of 52’ 6. The 4 x 400 relay of Zalika Dixon (Brooklyn, NY / HS of Fashion Industries), Adella King (Detroit, MI / Finney), Emaryne Watt (Indianapolis, IN / Perry Meridan) and sophomore Preosha Graham-Coates (Fort Wayne, IN / Harding) is also ranked fourth in the nation with an A standard.
The Warriors will look to this weekend gain some more valuable experience and to further increase their qualifiers for the national meet in Johnson City, TN – March 4th – 6th .
