Adrian, Mich. – The Indiana Tech volleyball team returned to its winning ways on Wednesday night, defeating Siena Heights University 3-1 (25-21, 17-25, 25-22, 25-19) after having its 13-match winning streak snapped over the weekend.
The victory kept the Warriors perfect in conference play and tied with two other teams for the top spot in the WHAC.
Kelsey Cox (Flushing, MI/Grand Rapids) and Stacy Nagy (Temperance, MI/Bedford) led the Warriors attack with 14 kills apiece. Cox slammed down her 14 kills on 23 swings with no errors for an impressive .609 hitting percentage. Junior setter Kelsey Fitzpatrick (Holland, OH/Notre Dame Academy) distributed 43 assists to direct the offense.
Darcie Faylor (Ft. Wayne, IN/Kishwaukee) scooped up a match-high 19 digs and Emily Williams (Lambertville, MI/Bedford) followed with 10. Suzanne Taylor (Petersburg, MI/Ida) finished the night with one solo block and three block assists.
The Warriors (17-8, 6-0 WHAC) return to action on Friday, Oct. 12 when they travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan for a conference matchup with Davenport University beginning at 7 p.m.
