Fort Wayne, Ind. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 408 volleyball student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Indiana Tech, along with Hastings College, led all institutions with eight individuals recognized for their excellence in the classroom.
Kelsey Cox (Flushing, MI/Grand Rapids CC) – Elementary Education
Darcie Faylor (Ft. Wayne, IN/Kishwaukee) – Criminal Justice
Kayla Foreman (Decatur, IN/Adams Central) – Accounting
Kaylee Kaminsky (Woodridge, IL/Benet Academy) – Education
Adrienne Kline (Calgary, Alberta/St. Francis) – Biomedical Engineering
Kelsea Nova (Toledo, OH/Bowsher) – Therapeutic Recreation
Alexandria Polise (Jenison, MI/Grand Rapids CC) – Business Administration
Suzanne Taylor (Petersburg, MI/Ida) – Elementary Education
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
