Fort Wayne, Ind. – Colonel Crawford High School senior Taylor Kelso has signed her letter of intent to play volleyball at Indiana Tech in 2013.
Kelso, a 5-foot-1 defensive specialist from North Robinson, Ohio, will come to Indiana Tech after earning four varsity letters and enjoying a highly decorated career with Colonel Crawford.
In 2009, her freshman season, she was awarded Second Team All-North Central Conference and best defensive player. Kelso followed that up with a sophomore season where she was named Second Team All-NCC, District-6 Honorable Mention and best defensive player for her team. She received her third straight Second Team All-NCC honor as a junior in addition to another District-6 Honorable Mention and best defensive player selection. She capped off her career by earning a First Team All-NCC nod as well as District-6 Third team, best defensive player, coach’s award, and also met a career milestone of 1,000 digs.
“We are excited to bring Taylor onto our team next year,” said Indiana Tech Head Coach Kourtney Volkmer. “She can have a big effect for us in the back row which is something we lost this past year. Taylor plays with the intensity that we need and she can be a key player for us in the coming years.”
While attending Tech, Taylor plans on majoring in Business Administration/Sports Management.
