Fort Wayne, IN-- For the week of Sept.28, sophomore outside hitter Ashley Hamilton was named the WHAC Player of the Week. Hamilton's efforts led the Warriors to a 4-1 record for the week.
Hamilton had 53 kills and 53 digs and hit a .305 overall percentage. In four wins the Warriors beat Aquinas and Campbellsville who are both receiving votes in the national poll, as well as Trinity International and Cedarville. Their only loss came to #14 ranked Olivet Nazarene in a 1-3 set loss.
Hamilton is averaging 4.0 kills/game on the year which puts her ranked at #18 in the country. She is also averaging 2.85 digs/game.
The Warriors have another tough week as they travel to University of Michigan-Dearborn on Tuesday night and then host the Liz Lykowski Memorial Tournament over the weekend where they will face #5 Georgetown, as well as University of Northwestern Ohio, University of St. Francis (IND), and St. Ambrose.
