Fort Wayne, IN-- Warriors Move to 4-0 in Conference With a 3-0 win over University of Michigan-Dearborn. Tech has now moved to 4-0 in the conference and 11-7 overall.
Indiana Tech controlled the match winning sets 1 and 2 with scores of 25-13 and 25-12. The Wolves made a comeback in the third set coming back from a 21-15 Warrior lead, but the Warriors fought back and pulled out the match 26-24.
Sophomore WHAC Player of the Week, Ashley Hamilton led the way with 13 kills, 3 aces and 7 digs. She was followed closely by junior outside hitter, Samantha Larson with 12 kills and 7 digs. Sophomore setter Melanie Forman ran the offense with 35 assists for the night and sophomore libero, Kayla Hartman led defense with 10 digs.
The Warriors host the Liz Lykowski Memorial Tournament this upcoming weekend in the Schaefer Center. The Warriors will face #6 ranked Georgetown College as well as St. Francis, University of Northwestern Ohio, and St. Ambrose.
