Fort Wayne, IN--The Lady Warriors (32-9) take their six-game win streak into NAIA National Volleyball Tournament. Saturday will mark the first time Indiana Tech has hosted a National Opening Round since the programs start in 2005.
Tech finished the season ranked No. 17 and claimed a National Championship birth by defeating the Madonna Crusaders in the WHAC Championship just last Saturday. The Warriors are all set to host the Walsh Cavaliers (28-8.) Walsh claimed their National Championship birth finishing at the top of the American Mideast Conference. The Lady Cavaliers are led by Senior, Middle Blocker, Natalie Borland, and Freshman Standout, Outside Hitter, Juilanne O'Donnell. Friday, November 20thWalsh practice 11:30am-1:30pm Tech practice 2:30pm-4:30pm National Tournament Qualifier Banquet: (closed to public) Banquet to be held at Parkview Field 7-8:30pm (suite level) Saturday, November 21stoptional practice times: Walsh 9:30am-10:30am, Tech 10:30am-11:30am Game time 1:00pm Tech will look to use their momentum, and home turf to power passed Walsh, and onto the next round of the tournament. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the gate. Students must have Student ID to be admitted at no cost. The NAIA will also supply National Championship programs which will be available at the gate.
