FORT WAYNE, IN- The Indiana Tech Volleyball Team will leave Sunday for Sioux City, Iowa to compete in the 2009 National Championship Final Pool Play at the Tyson Center. The first match will be played Tuesday, December 1st against #10 ranked Biola University (CA) at 5:45pm (CST). The Warriors played the Eagles early this season and dropped a hard fought 3-0 decision.
On Wednesday, the Warriors will play #3 ranked Northwestern College (IA) at 8:00pm (CST). The Red Raiders are the highest seed in Pool C. Tech completes their pool play on Thursday, December 3rd when they play Shawnee State (OH) at 5:45pm (CST). The top two teams from each pool will advance to single elimination play on December 4th.
This is the second consecutive season the Warriors have advanced to the National Championship Finals. Last year the Warriors went 1-2 in pool play and narrowly missed advancing to the next round.
