Fort Wayne, IN--On Tuesday, January 19th, the Indiana Tech Warriors signed Kelsey Fitzpatrick of Notre Dame Academy in Toledo, Ohio to the 2010 class.
Fitzpatrick is a setter and captain for the Eagles and the U18 National Team for Premier Volleyball Club. She has played with Premier for nine years. In her senior season she earned Second Team All City and City League honors. Fitzpatrick was also named All Academic and received the Eagle Leadership Award and CYO Award.
Not only is Kelsey a talented volleyball player, she is also a fantastic student. She plans to study Biomedical Engineering at Indiana Tech and is a potential recipient of the Engineering Dean's Scholarship. She is an honor student at Notre Dame Academy boasting a 3.94 GPA and has taken their Engineering and Advanced Placement classes.
"Kelsey is a fantastic addition to our program. She is a great player and will also be a great teammate as she has a wonderful work ethic and ability to push her teammates," Head Coach Kirsta Solberg had to say of Fitzpatrick. "She also comes from two excellent programs (Notre Dame Academy and Premier Volleyball Club), which gives her high level experience in the game. Along with her being an excellent student, we are looking forward to having Kelsey as part of our team."
Fitzpatrick will also be traveling to Paris, France this spring to compete with Premier Volleyball Club in an international tournament. She is pictured above with her family, Coach Solberg of Indiana Tech, and Coach Mattera of Notre Dame Academy.
