Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Lady Warriors, under the direction of third-year head coach Rodney Hamilton, finished the 2011-12 year in a season highlighted with the team's 5-0 start which was the best in program history since the 2006-07 season. The team’s fast start vaulted the Lady Warriors up the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, landing at the No. 15 spot for the first time since 1992-1993.
The Lady Warriors ranked in the top 25 in the country in four statistical categories as a team. They were ranked 15th in free throw percentage (0.732), 18th in assist/turnover ratio (0.899), 21st in turnover margin (3.355), and 24th in scoring offense per game (70.419). The team also ranked in the top 50 in total scoring offense, offensive rebounds per game, total 3-point field goals made, 3-point field goals made per game, and 3-point field goal percentage.
“It was a great night and a great way to honor our team and our seniors,” Hamilton said when he addressed the entire women’s basketball program. “When you recap this season and all the things this team accomplished, I couldn't be more proud of the way they represented our program.”

The women’s basketball team was treated to a NOT-SO TOP 10 highlight film for good laughs and enjoyment of things that happened during practice and games of the 2011-12 season. They reflected on the women’s program’s potential and ended the night with a traditional highlight film with great moments from the year.
