Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women’s basketball held their own against Huntington University, who is receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 Poll, but the Foresters began to pull away late and defeated the Lady Warriors 66-55 in the Schaefer Center on Tuesday night.
The loss dropped Tech to 0-4 on the year while Huntington improved its record to 4-0.

Huntington took a five point lead 20-15 with 6:29 remaining in the opening half, but a 7-0 run by the Warriors over the next five minutes gave them a 22-20 edge.
After the Foresters knotted the game at 22-22, junior Chelsea Carradine (Redford, MI/Thurston) put Tech back in front with nine seconds remaining in the period. However, HU drew a foul with less than a second to go and knocked down both free throws to tie the game 24-24 at halftime.
The second half was just as exciting, seeing several lead changes early.
With the Warriors holding a one point lead at the 15:08 mark, Sabine Filippovica (Linibazi, Latvia/Independence) buried a three-pointer to give Tech a four point advantage, 38-34.
The visitors battled back though, and after the teams traded the lead a couple more times, Huntington took a 47-43 lead midway through the half.
