Adrian, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women’s basketball team went on the road for a conference matchup with Siena Heights University on Saturday. The Lady Warriors fell behind the Saints early and were never able to overcome the deficit, falling 60-43.
Siena Heights (7-3, 4-2 WHAC) scored the game’s first 11 points and would hold a 20-6 advantage midway through the first half.
Over the next three minutes, the Warriors trimmed the deficit to eight, 22-14, but the Saints would end the half on a 16-2 run to hold a 38-16 lead at the break.
Siena Heights maintained its comfortable margin through the second half en route to the victory.
The Lady Warriors struggled shooting, hitting just 26 percent of their shots on the night while SHU connected on 36 percent. The Saints also held the edge in rebounds, pulling down 47 compared to Tech’s 32.
Junior Kiley Camp (Russiaville, IN/Western) scored a career-best 10 points to pace the Warriors and added three steals. Fellow junior Rachael Kruse (Ft. Wayne, IN/Homestead) followed with seven points and Chelsea Carradine (Redford, MI/Thurston) chipped in six points with six rebounds.
Indiana Tech (2-9, 2-4 WHAC) will take on Lourdes University on Saturday, Dec. 15 in Adrian, Michigan at Adrian College before returning home on Dec. 18 to host the Saint Francis University Cougars.
