2/21/09 – The Women’s Basketball team mounted a furious comeback on Saturday, but dropped a 63-59 decision to the Cardinals of Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI.  The Warriors started out as cold as the weather and fell behind by 16 at the half.  In the second half, the Warriors warmed up and behind the play of Amanda Tipton (Burton, MI / Bentley) – 12 points off the bench, Tech closed the gap to two in the final minutes of play before the Cardinals held them off for the win.  The Warriors led by senior Hannah McKinnon (New Haven, IN / New Haven) and her 13 points. Freshman Rachel Parker (Bloomington, IN / Bloomington South) also contributed with 12 points.  The Warriors will next play in the WHAC Women’s Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, February 25^th when they travel to Grand Rapids, MI to play the Golden Eagles of Cornerstone at 7:30pm.
