Fort Wayne, Ind. – Indiana Tech’s Chelsea Carradine has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Player of the Week for women’s basketball.
Carradine posted back-to-back double-doubles, averaging 17.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, to lead the Warriors to a 2-0 record last week. During the 74-44 win at Marygrove College, the junior forward from Redford, Michigan scored 12 points and hauled in 13 rebounds only to follow it with a career-high 22 point, 10 rebound performance against the University of Northwestern Ohio.
Carradine, who shot 74 percent (17-for-23) from the field last week, leads the team and ranks fifth in the country with a 0.602 field goal percentage this season. She has racked up seven double-doubles on the year, and is averaging 12.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Indiana Tech (13-15, 11-9 WHAC) travels to Grand Rapids, Michigan on Wednesday, Feb. 13 for a conference matchup with Cornerstone University before returning home to host No. 10 Davenport University on Saturday, Feb. 16 to close out the regular season.
