POLL | FOR WAYNE, Ind.—The Indiana Tech women’s basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference by the WHAC coaches as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
The Warriors received 96 votes, three behind Concordia (99) and just ahead of Cornerstone (96). Davenport was chosen to win the WHAC with 139 points and 11 of the 12 first-place votes with Siena Heights garnering the other first-place tally and chosen second with 127 points. Madonna received 105 votes to place third with Concordia and Tech rounding out the top five.
Tech also placed two athletes on the five-member Preseason All-Conference Team in Rachael Kruse and Ulyssia Richmond. Kruse was also selected as the WHAC Preseason Player of the Year.
The Warriors will open the 2013-14 season on Saturday, Oct. 26 with a home contest against Wilberforce at 5:30 p.m.
