4/9/09 – Kalah Baer (Fort Wayne, IN / Leo HS), daughter of Joe and Kathy Baer, has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career on scholarship at Indiana Tech.  While playing for Leo, the 6’1 center helped the Lady Lions win back-to-back Sectionals in 2008 and 2009 and an ACAC Title in 2008.  She also helped the team improve from a 4-16 season her freshman year to a 17-8 season her senior year.  In her senior season as a Leo Lady Lion, she led the team in scoring, averaging 10.8 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game.  Among other honors, Baer was named "Player of the Week" in the Fort Wayne area three times this season, was named 1st Team All-Conference in 2008 and 2009, and was nominated for the Sterling Sentinel Award in Athletics.
