Fort Wayne, IN-- The Indiana Tech Lady Warriors opened their 2009-2010 home campagin with a 68-50 win over the Thunder from Trine University on Tuesday night.
The Warriors played tight defense which turned out to be the deciding factor in a fast paced game. In the first half Tech out scored Trine 34-19, to take a fifteen point lead into the second half. Latoya Noble and Yasmine Coleman led the first half with six points a piece. Each of the Warriors tallied numbers in the score column.
Trine had some potential down the stretch but with Tech's pressure, was forced to take off-balanced shots as the shot clock expired.
