Fort Wayne, IN--The Warrior Women dug deep this afternoon to take down No. 10 Taylor University in the Taylor Holiday Tournament.

 

The Warriors now 6-9 on the season, will take some serious momentum into conference play after the 64-62 upset of Taylor. Tech's Amanda Tipton and Chelsea Shadday were chosen as All-Tournament honorees. In two tournament games Tipton had 17 points and was 4-10 from the floor. Shadday added 18 points and 11 rebounds providing just enough for the win.

 

Going into the game Taylor was on a nine game winning streak and ranked No. 10 in the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball poll. The Warriors will take  short break before getting back into action against UM Dearborn, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
