St. Mary of the Woods, IN – On Sunday afternoon, the Indiana Tech Warriors Women’s Basketball team defeated their host, St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, 75-68. The Warriors had four players in double figures for scoring.

Leading the way for the Warriors were senior guard Hannah Thieke (Russiaville, IN / IPFW) with 17 points and junior guard Julie Stetzel (Huntington, IN / Midland College) came off the bench and chipped in 16 points.  Juniors Amanda Tipton (Burton, MI / Bentley) and Chelsea Shadday (Kendallville, IN / East Noble) dominated the boards with 8 and 7 rebounds respectively. Whitney Allen (20 pts.) and Brooke Brown (12 rebounds) led the Pomeroys.

The Warriors will begin conference play on Wednesday, January 6th when they host the UM-Dearborn Wolves. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00pm.
