Fort Wayne, IN – On Saturday afternoon, the Indiana Tech Warriors Women’s Basketball team lost to the number one team in the nation, the Davenport Panthers, 120-87. The Panthers have won 21 straight to lead the nation.
Leading the way for the Warriors were sophomore forward Yasmine Coleman (Indianapolis, IN / Pike HS) with 18 points and five rebounds. Junior guard Julie Stetzel (Huntington, IN /Midland College) came off the bench to hit 16 points. Junior guard Amanda Tipton (Burton, MI / Bentley HS) chipped in 13 points.
The Panthers had five players in double figures in scoring. Freshman center Leah Sevcik led the way with 21 points. Sophomore guard Abby Neff added 18 points.
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday, January 27th when they host the Aquinas Saints. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
