Fort Wayne, IN – On Saturday afternoon, the Indiana Tech Warriors Women’s Basketball team lost to the visiting Concordia Cardinals, 71-64.
The Warriors were down by 17 at the half and mounted a furious comeback behind the scoring of senior guard Hannah Thieke (Russiaville, IN / IPFW) with 18 points and junior guard Amanda Tipton (Burton, MI / Bentley HS) with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Despite pulling within three in the final six minutes of play, the Warriors could not pull off the comeback. The loss ended the Warriors recent winning streak in conference play.
The Cardinals were led by Hannah Sobol (21 pts.) and Kortni Elsworth (18 pts.).
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday, February 10th when they travel to Livonia, MI to play the Madonna Crusaders. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
