New Haven, IN – The Indiana Tech women’s golf team set a new conference record on their way to winning the first conference match of the year. On a day with some very rough winds, the Warriors posted a score of 334, beating the previous record by one shot.
Four Warriors finished in the top 10 on Tuesday. Freshman Keerstin Ramsey (Cincinnati, OH/Indian Hill HS) placed third overall with a 78 and sophomore Megan Garrison (Cutler, IN/Carroll HS) finished tied for fifth with an 82. Alexandra Haskell (Lapeer, MI/Lapeer East HS) and Kalie Sanders (Greenville, OH/Greenville HS) rounded out the top 10 tied with an 87. Melissa Finch from the University of Northwestern Ohio had the best score of the day with a 76.
Madonna University finished one shot back of the Tech with a 335 and Davenport University placed third shooting a 344 to round out the top three.
The Warriors return to action September 17 for the WHAC Jamboree #2 hosted by Aquinas College at Scott Lake Golf Club.
