Kentwood, MI – The Indiana Tech women’s golf team went into the day trailing conference leader Madonna University by one stroke. The Warriors needed a great performance to overtake the Crusaders for the top spot and clinch the right to host the spring event.
The Warriors got the performance they needed today winning their third jamboree of the year. Coming off their record breaking outing last week, Tech finished today with a team score of 335 followed by Aquinas (341), Davenport (347), and Madonna (347).
Freshman Keerstin Ramsey (Cincinnati, OH/Indian Hill HS) finished in tie for first place overall, turning in a 78. Megan Garrison (Cutler, IN/Carroll HS) was right behind her with an 83 in a tie for third place.
Alexandra Haskell (Lapeer, MI/Lapeer East HS) and Kalie Sanders (Greenville, OH/Greenville HS) both carded an 87 finishing just out of the top ten in a tie for 11th.
Andria Schrock (Delta, OH/Pike Delta York HS) turned in a 90 to finish in tied for 18th and Christina Mettert (New Haven, IN/New Haven HS) shot a 93.
The Warriors next competition is at the Fort Wayne Championship on September 30-October 2. The event will be held at three different courses: Coyote Creek in Fort Wayne, IN, Whispering Creek in New Haven, IN, and Cedar Creek in Leo, IN.
