FORT WAYNE, IN- On Friday, April 15th, the Indiana Tech Women’s Golf team managed to get the first round in for the Millikin University Spring Classic on but the next day, mother nature called the shots and the meet was canceled due to poor weather conditions.
Despite the abrupt end to the tournament, the Warriors managed a fifth place finish. The team shot 365 finishing two shots better than their hosts, Millikin University.
Sophomore Megan Garrison (Cutler, IN/Carroll) placed tied for 7th overall with a round of 84. Freshman Keerstin Ramsey (Cincinnati, OH/Indian Hill) shot a 91to finish tied for 19th overall. Junior Kalie Sanders (Greenville, OH/Greenville) was tied with Ramsey for 19th place.
The Warriors will be back in action on April 18-19 at the Bluegrass Spring Classic hosted by Georgetown College at Cherry Blossom GC in Georgetown, KY.
