FORT WAYNE, IN- The Indiana Tech Women’s Golf team claimed the WHAC Women’s Golf team championship at Whispering Creek GC in New Haven, IN. The Warriors shot 668, 23 shots better than runner-up Madonna University despite poor weather conditions that plagued the second round of the tournament.
Junior Kalie Sanders (Greenville, OH/Greenville) shot a career best 158 for 36 holes to finish first and win the conference championship. Freshman Keerstin Ramsey (Cincinnati, OH/Indian Hill) shot a 164to finish tied for 3rd overall and sophomore Megan Garrison (Cutler, IN/Carroll) placed tied for 6th overall with a two round score of 166.
The Warriors will be back in action on April 30th-May 1st at the Lady Grizzly Spring Classic hosted by Franklin University at The Legends GC in Franklin, IN.
