Kansas City, MO – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the first and second round pairings for the 2011 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championships on Friday. The 17th annual event will take place at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn., May 17 – 20.
The Warriors have been paired with 5th-ranked Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and 13th-ranked Lee University and will begin first round action off of No. 1 at 1 p.m. On Wednesday, May 18, Tech will start round two off of No. 10 at 8:50 a.m.
The 129-player field for the National Championships is comprised of 17 automatic qualifying teams from conferences/independents/unaffiliated group tournaments and eight at-large selections, were determined using the final NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll released on Thursday. Four individuals earned a spot in the event as the medalist at their respective conference/independent/unaffiliated group tournament.
Reigning national team champion British Columbia and individual national champion Nathalie Silva of California Baptist will return to defend their titles.
