Greenville, TN – The Indiana Tech women’s golf team had their best round of the 2011 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championships on Thursday scoring a 350, 12 shots better than the previous round. The Warriors moved into a tie for 23rd place with a three round total score of 1070.
Embry-Riddle (Fla.) jumped back into first place with a team score of 943, taking a two shot lead over California Baptist with Oklahoma City in third place with a 950.
Sophomore Megan Garrison (Cutler, IN/Carroll) led the Warrior charge firing a 77 in the third round of action giving her a total score of 244, good enough for 46th place individually. Freshman Keerstin Ramsey (Cincinnati, OH/Indian Hill) carded an 87 on the day for a three-round total of 254, putting her in a tie for 83rd place.
Junior Kalie Sanders (Greenville, OH/Greenville) also shot her best round of the tournament, turning in an 86. She currently sits in 114th place with a 275. Freshman Tina Mettert (New Haven, IN/New Haven) is in 126th place overall with a three round total of 297.
The Warriors will begin the final round of action on Friday off of No.10 at 9 a.m.
