Warriors Lead Hanover Invite after Day One

Madison, IN – The Indiana Tech women’s golf team, led by juniors Megan Garrison (Burlington, IN/Carroll) and Katie Clouse (Marion, IN/Grace), sit in first place with a two shot advantage after day one of the Hanover College Fall Invite.

The Warriors shot a 322 to claim the overnight lead and are followed by Hanover College with a 324, and Transylvania University rounds out the top three with a 332.

Garrison and Clouse both fired a 79 on Saturday and are currently in a three-way tie for first place overall. Garrison shot a 41 through the first nine holes before turning in an even better back nine of 38, while Clouse went 40/39.

Freshman Haley Larson (Enon, OH/Greenon) is tied for 8th with an 81 and senior Kalie Sanders (Greenville, OH/Greenville) sits in a tie for 11th after a round of 83.

The two-day event wraps up on Sunday at Shadowood Golf Course in Seymour, Indiana. The first group will tee off at 9:30 a.m.
