Warriors Tie for 2nd at WHAC Jamboree 1

Grand Rapids, MI – The defending conference champion Indiana Tech women’s golf team opened WHAC play on Tuesday at Jamboree No.1 at Quail Ridge Golf Club hosted by Cornerstone University. The Warriors finished in a tie for 2nd with Aquinas College, shooting a 336 while Madonna University won the event by eight strokes with a 328.

Fresh off being named the WHAC Golfer of the Week, junior Megan Garrison (Burlington, IN/Carroll) stayed hot, pacing Tech by finishing in 2nd place overall firing a 79, just three shots off the leader.

Senior Kalie Sanders (Greenville, OH/Greenville) tied for 7th following a round of 84 and freshman Haley Larson (Enon, OH/Greenon) was right behind her in 9th after shooting an 85.

Sophomore Tina Mettert (New Haven, IN/New Haven) was tied for 15th with an 88 while junior Katie Clouse (Marion, IN/Grace) tied for 24th with a 94 and freshman Julia Browning (Cantrall, IL/Athens) tied for 31st shooting a 97.

The Warriors are back on the course Monday, September 19 for more conference action with WHAC Jamboree No.2 at Tecumseh Country Club hosted by Siena Heights University.
