Tecumseh, MI – The Indiana Tech women’s golf team tried to keep pace with the conference leading Madonna University Crusaders on Monday through tough conditions at the WHAC’s second Jamboree of the year. The Warriors finished in 2nd place, posting a 353, 15 shots back of first place Madonna. Host school Siena Heights University shot a 359 to finish in 3rd.
After the second of four Jamborees, Tech sits in second place in the conference, 23 strokes back of the Crusaders.
Junior Megan Garrison (Burlington, IN/Carroll) had another strong performance to lead the Warriors. Garrison fired an 83 on the par-72 course to finish 2nd in the individual standings, just five shots off Madonna’s Michelle Hall. Freshman Haley Larson (Enon, OH/Greenon) followed turning in an 88 to finish T-9th.
Sophomore Hannah Starkey (Rochester, IN/Rochester) came in 15th place carding a 90 and Kalie Sanders (Greenville, OH/Greenville) was right behind her with a 92.
The Warriors return to action on September 30 and October 1 for WHAC Jamboree No.3 hosted by Lourdes University and the University of Northwestern Ohio.
