Mobile, AL – The Indiana Tech women’s golf team wrapped up their fall schedule on Tuesday, finishing third out of the three teams competing at the University of Mobile Fall Classic. The Warriors shot a 363 during round one but came back with a 347 in round two for a total of 710. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to catch Mobile, who fired a 671 to win the outing and Spring Hill College followed with a 690.
Leading the way for the Warriors was junior Megan Garrison (Burlington, IN/Carroll). Garrison carded an opening round 87 before turning in the low round of the day on day two with a 78 to finish with a 165 and a tie for 3rd place overall.
Senior Kalie Sanders (Greenville, OH/Greenville) tied for 8th place with a 178 after rounds of 92 and 86. Freshman Haley Larson (Enon, OH/Greenon) placed 13th with a two round total of 181. Close behind was Andria Schrock (Delta, OH/Pike Delta York), Tina Mettert (New Haven, IN/New Haven), and Katie Clouse (Marion, IN/Grace) finishing 14th-16th. Schrock shot a 183, Mettert a 186, and Clouse a 193. Julia Browning (Cantrall, IL/Athens) rounded out the scoring with a 209 in 20th place.
