Franklin, Ind. – Megan Garrison (Burlington, IN/Carroll) capped off an outstanding junior campaign with her fifth win of the season over the weekend at the Franklin College Lady Grizzly Spring Invitational held at The Legends Golf Club.
The Warrior women’s golf team finished second with a score of 688, nine shots behind host Franklin who took home the victory. Trine University placed third with a 740 and Manchester College came in fourth with a 774.
Garrison sat in second place after the first 18 holes with an 80, just one shot back of the leader. She came back on Sunday with a 78 for a two-round total of 158 to win the event by two shots.
Freshmen Julia Browning (Cantrall, IL/Athens) and Haley Larson (Enon, OH/Greenon) also earned top 10 finishes landing in fifth and sixth place respectively. Browning tied her season-low round with an 83 on day one and carded a 90 on Sunday for a total of 173. Larson was right behind her with a 174 after rounds of 86 and 88. Junior Katie Clouse (Marion, IN/Grace) rounded out Tech’s scoring with a 183 (89-94) to finish in a tie for 12th place.
