Garrison Earns WHAC Golfer of the Week Honors

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Indiana Tech senior Megan Garrison (Cutler, IN/Carroll) has earned Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week honors after capturing her first win of the season over the weekend.

Garrison claimed the top spot by five strokes at the Illinois College Fall Invitational after shooting back-to-back rounds of 79 through wet and rainy conditions.

Her performance also helped give the Indiana Tech women’s golf team a first place finish in the team standings. Garrison, along with freshman Lizzie Campbell (Sydney, Australia/Sceggs Redlands) and sophomore Julia Browning (Cantrall, IL/Athens) combined for a 1-2-3 finish to propel the Warriors to a 10-shot victory.

The Warriors return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 4 in Caledonia, Michigan for the first WHAC Jamboree of the season hosted by Davenport University at Stonewater Country Club.
