Georgetown, Ky. – The Indiana Tech women’s golf team shot a team score of 678 to finish third out of eight team field at the Bluegrass Spring Classic hosted by Georgetown College on Monday and Tuesday.
After posting a 341 on Monday the Warriors came back and improved their team score to a 337 on Tuesday giving them the second best team score on the day just behind the victors of the University of the Cumberlands. Cumberlands shot a tournament best 627 followed by Cumberland University with a 654.
Senior Megan Garrison led the way turning in rounds of 80 and 78 to land her in a tie for sixth place overall with a 36-hole score of 158. Freshman Rachel George placed 17th with scores of 83 and 84 for a total score of 167.
Katie Clouse finished 21st after shooting an 85 and 90 with an overall score of 175 while Julia Browning was tied for 26th with a 93 and 85 for a two-day total of 178. Andria Schrock finished in36th place with a 194.
The Warriors return to the links on Apr. 28 for the first round of the Edgewood Spring Invitational at Cherokee Country Club in Madison, Wisconsin.
