Lincoln, Neb. – Senior Megan Garrison closed out her outstanding career with the Warriors on Thursday after missing the cut at the 2013 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship held at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Garrison shot a three-day total of 247 to tie for 77th after 54 holes. She carded an opening round score of 80 on Tuesday. Following an 86 during the second round on Wednesday, Garrison bounced back with an 81 in the third round, but it wasn’t enough to make the cut.
A four-time First Team All-Conference performer, Garrison earned an invitation to the 19th annual Women’s Golf National Championship by winning the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference individual medalist honors. She won one of the four WHAC Jamborees this past season and finished second in two others.
Garrison made two trips to the NAIA National Championships, one as a member of the Indiana Tech squad that won the 2011 WHAC Championship and as an individual this season.
