Women's Golf adds Tamina Römer

July 12, 2013

For Immediate Release

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Head women’s golf coach Kelly Mettert continues to add to a very talented recruiting class with the addition of Tamina Römer from Dusseldorf, Germany.

Tamina is currently a member at the Golfclub Hösel, near Dusseldorf, where she carries a 3.8 handicap. She has played both junior and women for her club team and as a single player in many of the top junior tournaments. Tamina has also been ranked in the top-10 for her region under-18 for the past two years.

In addition to golf, Tamina likes to play soccer and tennis, and is very musically talented, playing saxophone in a Big Band. She can speak four languages, including German, English, Italian, and French.

“We very much look forward to having Tamina represent the school both on the links and in the classroom,” Coach Mettert said.

Tamina becomes the second golfer to sign with the Warriors from Germany this year, joining Wiebke Schlender who signed her letter of intent earlier this summer.
