RESULTS | SYLVANIA, Ohio—The Indiana Tech women’s golf team took one step closer to winning the WHAC fall season as they sit tied with Madonna for first in the final WHAC Jamboree of the season. The 36-hole event is being held over two days at two separate courses with round one at the Sylvania Country Club in Sylvania, Ohio.
Tech carded a 338 in the first round, led by a five-over par 77 from Wiebke Schlender who is tied for first with Madonna’s Natalie Blazo. Two other Warriors placed in the top six with Tamina Römer in third after a first round 80 and Courtney Dye in sixth with an 85.
Rachel George is tied for 28th with a 96 and Tina Mettert rounded out the scoring for the Orange and Black with a 103 to tie for 36th. Haley Larson also competed for Tech.
The Warriors and Crusaders head to the second round with an 18-stroke lead over Siena Heights (356) with Aquinas in fourth with a 357 and Davenport rounding out the top five with a first round 364.
WHAC Jamboree No. 4 concludes tomorrow, Oct. 12 at the Hawthorne Hills Golf Course in Lima, Ohio. Teams will tee-off at 10 a.m.
