LIMA, Ohio –The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference announced its All-Conference Honors on Saturday and the Warriors were showered with accolades, highlighted by Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, Wiebke Schlender as well as Coach of the Year Kelly Mettert.
Schlender won three of the four conference jamborees and finished with a 76.2 stroke average for the five rounds. The Paderborn, Germany native also topped the All-Conference team where she was joined by fellow freshmen Courtney Dye (398 strokes) and Tamina Römer (399) as the top three players in the conference this fall.
The WHAC also announced its Champions of Character team and Christina Mettert (New Haven, Ind.) was named the Warriors representative.
