Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women’s lacrosse team came in at No. 3 in the first regular season National Women’s Lacrosse League (NWLL) Coaches’ Poll, announced on Monday.
Shorter University and Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) tied at the top of the poll followed by Indiana Tech. Aquinas College and Robert Morris University rounded out the top five.
First-year Head Coach Emily Shreeve led her Warriors onto the field for the first time last Saturday against McKendree University and came away with her first career victory, defeating the Bearcats 17-6. Twelve different players scored for the Warriors. Leading the way were Holly Holod and Aubri Hazen with two goals and one assist each.
Indiana Tech returns to action on Thursday, Mar. 7 in Chicago, Illinois for a non-conference game against Robert Morris beginning at 7 p.m.
