Cincinnati, OH – The Indiana Tech Warriors came back to defeat the College of Mount St. Joseph, 12-9, on Saturday in overtime. The Warriors were trailing 9-5 with just over 15 minutes left before they scored four straight times, the last coming with only :14 left on the clock, to tie the game. Tech would go on to score once in the first overtime period and tacked on two more goals in the second for the win.
Leading the Warriors were Chelsea Olson (Canton, MI/Canton HS) with four goals, and Paige Kauffman (Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence Central HS) with three. Also scoring for the Warriors were Holly Holod (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech HS) and Nicole Johnson (Oscola, IN/Penn HS) with two goals each and Ashley Thomas (Glendale Heights, IL/Lombard West HS) with one. Goalie Stephanie Seese (Granger, IN/Penn HS) finished the night with 10 saves.
The Warriors return to action Sunday, March 14, for two more as they take on Savannah College of Art and Design at 12 p.m. and Tennessee Wesleyan at 4 p.m.
