Fort Wayne, Ind. – Indiana Tech junior Jordan Roell (Guilford, IN/East Central) has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for women’s soccer after helping lead the Warriors to a 2-0 record last week.

Roell, recorded five saves and held opponents scoreless during the week. She posted a shutout in a 4-0 victory against Bluffton University on Sept. 19. She then held Urbana University to a scoreless first half before leaving the game. Tech closed out the game with a 3-1 win.

The Warriors, now 8-2 on the year, will open conference play on Sept. 26 when they host No. 25 Siena Heights University.  They will travel to Aquinas on Sept. 29 to wrap up the week.
