FORT WAYNE, IN – The Indiana Tech Women’s Soccer team is proud to announce that Jessica Zurcher (Amherst, OH/Firelands HS) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer for the Warriors for the fall of 2013.
Zurcher, a 5’6 forward, is a three year varsity letter winner for the Falcons. She is the leading scorer for the Falcons and to date has scored over 89 career goals. She was first team All-Conference in 2010 and 2011. First Team All Lorain County DII and First Team All Greater Cleveland DII in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Zurcher also participated in track for the Falcons, lettering the past three years. She is a member of the Cleveland United Soccer Club (2012) and a former member of the Erie Futbol Club (2007-11).
In addition to her athletic achievements, Jessica boasts a strong academic record. She is sixth in her class (6/163). She is an Honors Student Award recipient (2009-11) and a member of the National Honor Society. She is also the vice-president of the Firelands FFA and she belongs to the Four Leaf Clovers 4-H Club. Zurcher is the class speaker for the Ohio State Highway Patrol Junior Cadets.
“Jessica attended one of our recruit days and blew us away with her athletic ability and her personality” said Warrior Head Coach Jim Lipocky, “She is the ideal student athlete for Indiana Tech and she will contribute not only to the women’s soccer program but the institution as well.”
